Photos stay in your browser.

The W Universe Photo Booth is made entirely on your device. Here is the whole story:

Your photos are never uploaded. Camera frames and uploaded pictures live only in your browser's memory while you use the booth. Refreshing the page erases them.
Nothing is stored. We don't keep photos, thumbnails, or exports on any server — there isn't one. The only thing saved on your device is your sound on/off preference.
No face tech. No facial recognition, no face detection, no beauty filters, no biometric anything. Filters are simple color math.
Camera permission is requested only when you choose "Use Camera," used only for the live preview and your shots, and the camera is switched off the moment capture ends. You can always use photo upload instead.
No accounts, no tracking of your images. If we ever count anonymous product events (like "a session was completed"), those events can never include image data.
Sharing is yours. Downloading or sharing your strip happens through your device's own share sheet. We never see it. If you post it and tag @wuniverse, that's your choice — and we'd love that.
